Brody's Story

It's kind of weird trying to write a bio for your dog... it's hard to put into words. As I type this I can hear him snoring in the other room! I have had Brody for almost 15 years now, I got him at the tender age of 8 weeks. There were 3 or 4 dogs left from the litter of 11 or 12, kinda hard to remember for sure.

It was easy however to pick him out of the crowd, to this day I'm still amazed and relieved that I got to pick him instead of the people before me. Brody has been a great companion and trusted friend who has travelled with me almost everywhere - he hates to be alone! He is always wanting to go somewhere... anywhere! He loves riding in the truck but his favourite remains boating and fishing. He spent 3 months with me at Langara Fishing Lodge in the Queen Charlottes when he was about 4, I was working at the lodge at the time and he became the "lodge dog" he was a hit with everyone, guests and employees.

He is actually quite an avid fisherdog, usually laying beside the boat waiting to go out with me but would happily accompany other guides or guests if asked. It was hilarious to watch the intense reaction whenever the fishingrod would move or bounce Brody would jump up beside the rod waiting for the fish to get reeled in and at times almost jumping into the water. He was always part of the action - no matter what the activity and of course still is to this day just at a different pace. Although he is older, wiser and much slower than he used to be he is still gets out for his "play time", sometimes with his friends and other times just him and me. I would love to know the mileage that we have hiked, walked or biked together over the years, for now though it is much shorter strolls down on the Victoria waterfront or Mt. Doug where he still garners the attention of most that pass by.

Brody has been a Pets First customer for over a decade. During this time he has fed exclusively on our two Originals formulations. Our New Zealand Lamb, Chicken and Rice and our Chicken Lite Formulation.
